Problem Solving – Finding the Way Forward
Greetings Leader,
Think about the biggest challenge you’ve faced recently. What made it difficult? Looking back – Did you react, or did you lead?
Every leader eventually arrives at a moment when the way forward isn’t obvious. Sometimes it’s conflict, sometimes it’s failure, sometimes it’s uncertainty, and sometimes it’s simply a difficult decision.
It is in those moments where people naturally look at the leader. They look at the leader, not because the leader has every answer, but because the leader helps everyone discover the next step.
“The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.” — Albert Einstein
In essence, problems rarely improve until our thinking improves.
Try this acronym this week: LEAD
L – Listen before you lead
E – Examine the real problem
A – Align people around the solution
D – Deliver results, then keep improving
“Excellence is never an accident.” — Aristotle
Leadership is helping people find the way forward.
