Mindful Minute – The Courage to Put Others First
Courage in leadership is often associated with bold decisions, difficult conversations, or standing firm under pressure.
But some of the most meaningful acts of courage are quieter:
Choosing to put others first.
Creating space for someone else to succeed.
Letting go of control so others can grow.
These moments are not always visible; they are not always recognized, but they require a different kind of strength.
It takes courage to shift the focus away from yourself — your ideas, your timeline, your recognition — and place it on the people you lead.
In doing so, something powerful happens.
People begin to step forward.
Confidence grows.
Ownership increases.
And over time, the success of others becomes the success of the organization.
Courage is not always about stepping into the spotlight. Often, it is about stepping back so others can.
Reflection:
Who on your team might grow most if you created more space for them this week?
Leadership will change your life – I guarantee it.
